The link to the discord server where the event will take place is below (if you’ve never joined this discord server before, please be sure to enter it at least once before the tournament starts!):
At least 1 hour before the event begins, participants will be granted access to the World Discord Cup related channels within the English speakers section of the above server. Please try to login at least 10 minutes before the event and say “Here” in the worlddiscordcup-chat channel of the World Discord Cup section to confirm your participation.
The format will be Swiss Draw, 3 to 5 rounds depending on number of players, and each match will be resolved by best of 3 (each match will consist of up to 3 games, until 1 player wins twice or the timer runs out). Please note that if not enough players show up, we may switch to a Round Robin format. This tournament will not have any player elimination, so all players are welcome to play in all rounds regardless of their match results.
All cards released in English at the time of the tournament are legal. Cards that do not have an English counterpart available are not, with the exception of Set 7 cards and the new free PDF cards added in October. Links to English translations can be found in the registration link above. Also, for this tournament, there will be no limit to the use of proxy cards from any set, so long as they are printouts of good enough quality that they are recognizable even through a webcam.
Prizes for this tournament are as follows:
Winner: a full art promotion card version of 《Iuliana’s “Imaginary” Friend》 marked “WINNER”, an alternate full art promotion card version of 《Amil, Knight Princess of the Starlight Blade》, and a full art promotion card version of 《ZAPZAPZAP!》.
-We ask that the tournament winner submit their deck list.
Random prize, awarded to 1 lucky player among those present at the end of the tournament, excluding the tournament winner: an alternate art promotion card version of 《Yuchouka of the Heartsease》.
*Due to recent issues with prize delivery for the last couple of tournaments, we are cutting back the amount of prizes to ensure we can send them in a more reliable arrangement. Thank you for your understanding, and we are hopeful that this will be a temporary arrangement until we can set up better alternatives.
